Day 1 in Kilimanjaro

This is Day 1 of our 16 day trip to Tanzania. Working on 4 hours of sleep we are leaving for Dar Es Salam to work with a church in that region. This video is during the sunrise at the Kia Hotel at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. I explain our itinerary. Enjoy. I'll be posting pictures at my facebook page.

A Life Worth Repeating

December 29 I will be leaving for Tanzania. First I will be ministering at a pastor's conference, then I will be a part of a humanitarian effort to dig Water Wells for cleaning drinking water. I (& 40 others) will be raising awareness and funds by CLIMBING MT. KILIMANJARO, Africa's High Mountain.

Part of the requirements for the trip was to have Traveler's Insurance. I signed up and noticed a clause for "Repatriation of Remains". A phrase such as this gets a fella thinkin'. If something were to happen to me while away, am I happy with the life I've lived? Have I finished my race? Was I able to pass on my faith to my children? Has my life mattered? Will my children want to be like their dad? Do I want my children to be like their dad? Have I modeled my hope for others? Is my life worth repeating?

These are sobering thoughts and questions that causes one to re-evaluate. This has always been a part of my yearly review, but this year it is being done with more intentionality. I've got 1 question to leave you with:

Is your life worth repeating?

Never Give Up!!!

1 Peter 5:8 says that Satan "prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. There are times in our Spiritual Journey when it feels like Satan has his jaws around our neck. However, all hope is not lost. Watch this video of a Zebra attacked by a lioness inspire you to keep fighting the good fight. As Paul encourages Timothy "Fight the good fight of faith..." (1 Tim. 6:12).
